Living Rosary

Last night I was able to participate in a Living Rosary that our church held. It is quite a wonderful experience. There is a person for every bead on the rosary for all five decades. The congregation responding loudly together the Our Father's, Haily Mary's and Glory Be's were so powerful.

They did a great job in preparing - the church lights were dimmed and each person who was a bead on the rosary had an led candle. A rose was laid by the Blessed Virgin after each decade as a verse was sung.

I am going to try to begin to pray the rosary at home again - I keep wanting to but for some reason I don't - I guess having to learn it has been deterring me, but it is such a wonderful prayer and this past evening reminded me of why I do enjoy to pray it.

If you ever get the chance to participate in a Living Rosary take it - it's a truly wonderful experience.

This reminds me of the Stations of the Cross we have at Easter every year in our Church. The Rosary service sounds so moving and centering. Thanks for sharing!
